Meet Lou. Lou is a PA at tomorrow’s VA where she helps Shelley – The MS Office Maestro with various tasks that crop up.
Today, Lou is helping with blog writing. Shelley has put a plan together, and Lou is following the plan and getting things underway.
Where is the plan?
She started off by looking at the shared task list in Microsoft To Do where she found a task labelled Blogging.

Now Shelley had forgotten to add any details, so Lou went off to have a look in Outlook and see if there was an email with instructions.
Outlook maybe?
There it is – an email with a link to the spreadsheet that holds the list of blog posts to create.

How to get to the Excel Spreadsheet
Lou has two options. She can open the spreadsheet directly from the email or navigate to the SharePoint site and open it from there.
But wait – there is also a third option. Lou has added a shortcut link to the SharePoint site within her own OneDrive! This is a game changer as Lou now has access to the contents of the SharePoint site from within her OneDrive. So much easier.

Getting stuck in
Lou is now ready to get started and opens up the spreadsheet where she can see a plan of the first several days of the blogging project. Lou can also see that Shelley has not finished working on the plan as she still has the Excel file open.

Now that Lou has access to the plan she can get started on writing. Indeed this blog post is the first in the list!
Using Microsoft 365 Applications to streamline work.
We have seen that Lou can get stuck right into her work, by using Microsoft To Do and also Outlook. We have seen that Lou can access a shared task list with Shelley, and going forward Shelley can add tasks to this shared list for Lou to accomplish.
Any documents that are shared, are stored in the SharePoint site to which all members of tomorrow’s VA have access – once they have been invited of course.
As Lou has access to documents in the Tomorrow’s VA Team site, she can save the blog posts she writes into the blogging folder. Then everyone has access to them.
This is really beneficial as Veronica can also access anything here and it is her job to add the blog posts to the web site.
Thanks Microsoft 365 for making just this one aspect of working together easy.
