Today I am continuing to delve into OneNote 2016. We all like to make life as easy as possible for ourselves. Sometimes it is good to have a starting point. That is why I want to show you how to access the Page Templates in OneNote.
OneNote 2016 comes equipped with some great page templates. Unfortunately, they are not available on the Mac version or on OneNote for Windows 10.
So, if you are using OneNote 2016 here you go:
Start off by going to the Insert Ribbon and clicking on Page Templates. A task pane will open on the right-hand side, with a selection of template categories. I have expanded the business category in the picture here.
Choose the template to use and it will appear in a new page right there.
I chose a Formal Meeting template. It is already set out for me to complete at the meeting. It does have a fancy background, but it looks nice.
If you don’t want the background, you can start a new page and simply copy the headings so that you know where to start.
There are lots of templates to explore.
Set the default template
You can choose a template and set it as your default. At the bottom of the task pane is the option to pick a template. Click here to select from a long list of options.
New pages will now be based on the template you chose.
Set default template (1) click Add Page (2) New page based on the template chosen (3)
