Having an online maternity magazine which was impacted by the lockdown, Liz started thinking about how employees have started working from home and thinking about who working from home works for. Our Guest - Liz Pilgrim
Liz Pilgrim is an award-winning serial entrepreneur with a portfolio of businesses. After having her first baby, Liz found her marketing career as a working mum challenging and launched a retail business (babye) in 2003: three baby boutiques in West London. Liz moved her business online in 2013 and became a wholesaler evolving into an online maternity trade magazine (MaternityBuyer). Liz won the West London Business Awards ‘Best Creative Company’ in 2017 but in 2018, Liz was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and spent 18 months undergoing treatment. Whilst shielding in lockdown, Liz was inspired to launch RemoteRevolution – a new portal aimed at anyone working from home – advice, news and trends with a Podcast show. Liz is active in the community, volunteers on the Royal Marsden Patient Advisory Group and is a School Governor. Liz is mum to two teens, lives in West London and loves walks with her dog, Macy.
