Today we’re talking to Amy Gould from amyrosegould.com. Amy’s career started in the corporate world, working in PA and EA roles for executives in the corporate banking sector. After a brief career change to train as a teacher, Amy saw new opportunities to develop her own business and transfer her skills into supporting new VA’s with business strategy. She now offers training and mentoring and has a range of packages and tools designed to help new VA’s thrive in their first year of business.
In this uplifting and content-packed episode we talk about the importance of getting to know your clients and their businesses to forge deeper, longer lasting working relationships; tips on how to avoid comparing yourself to others, especially on social media; and how working on your mindset using activities such as journaling and affirmations can play a big part in forming your future plans and success.
Our Guest - Amy Gould
Amy is a Mentor and Business Strategist for Virtual Assistants. After spending 10 years as a high level PA and EA in London (plus a detour into teaching primary school aged children for two years), Amy became a Virtual Assistant in 2016. After a packed first year in business where she signed long-term clients AND had a baby, Amy settled into forming excellent relationships and becoming an online systems guru. For the past 2.5 years Amy has helped VAs to start and grow in business, with a focus on longevity and sustainability. Her signature VA training programme, The Virtual Assistant Toolkit, (formerly From PA to VA) is the first and only VA training programme to have been endorsed by The Institute of Administrative Management. When she’s not helping VAs thrive in business, Amy can be found in Hertfordshire running around after her young daughter Isobel and cavapoo Marley.
