In today’s episode, we’re talking with Juliet Landau-Pope from JLP Coach about the fascinating topic of procrastination. Juliet started her business journey after over 14 years of teaching social sciences at the Open University. She branched out on her own and trained as a professional organiser and life coach specialising in procrastination management and the psychology that drives it. 

In this fascinating episode, we talk to Juliet about her top tips on how to get going when you keep putting things off – how to move forward if you’re stuck; how to break the procrastination cycle and how to take the first steps to get yourself ‘un-stuck’.  

Juliet now combines her in-depth knowledge of procrastination with teaching productivity and study skills for professionals and students and has moved her business online, offering workshops and coaching sessions remotely to her clients.

Our Guest - Juliet Landau Pope

An Oxford graduate, Juliet taught social sciences and study skills at the Open University for more than 14 years. Fascinated by the role of motivation in teaching and learning, she trained as a coach at CTI and launched her consultancy JLP Coach in 2008.  A leading expert on procrastination, Juliet now coaches students and busy adults from diverse backgrounds to develop time management and organising skills. 

Juliet volunteered for six years as head of training for APDO, the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers, devising and leading the 1st UK business training courses for professional organisers. During lockdown, she set up the Academy of Virtual Organising and led two international summits to support professional organisers pivoting their businesses online. 

Juliet is an innovative and inspiring speaker with a flair for sharing strategies to boost motivation, productivity and wellbeing. She regularly speaks in educational and corporate settings, including conferences in the UK, Netherlands and Canada.  

Juliet has written two books: Being More Productive (2017) and Clearing Your Clutter (2018), and is currently developing online courses on overcoming procrastination.

I find Shelley’s training easy to follow and the very best thing is that you can do it all at your own pace and revisit modules if it doesn’t quite sink in the first time round! I have learned so much from her training and continue to do so! She is responsive to my questions and I learn something new with each module. I find Iam hardly ever having to Google or YouTube information now, so it really is saving me time in my work day. Time that can be better used by learning more about the business I operate in!

Course is packed with so much valuable information in a easy-to-understand and follow language, even for a complete beginner.
