In these unpredictable times, self-care is even more important, especially for caregivers. To support your self-care we will be running different versions of the Easy Peasy Itsy Bitsy Bite-Sized Self Care Adventure several times this year.
Adventure 2 begins April 1, 2021! That’s not a joke, we really are starting on April Fool’s Day to encourage us all to remember to look at the lighter side of things.
You can sign up here now!
If you’ve joined us for an earlier challenge/adventure, the format is the same (only 7 days, one short daily video in a private Facebook group, supportive commenting and engaging, daily email reminders) and each time we add some new tips or organize them in a different flow. So, it’s familiar but different – we’d love to see you in the private group in April!
NEW in 2021!
We have created the first of what will be a series of mini self-study courses. The Arc | Ark of Caregiving – Create a Safe Space for Yourself on Your Caregiving Journey
This 30-minute mini-course will give you an outline of the 5 main stages of the caregiving journey. This basic understanding of what to expect will help you identify where you are currently in your caring adventure so that you can manage the ups and downs more easily.
The Arc | Ark of Caregiving will take you from swimming in uncertainty and overwhelm to creating a simple and effective self-care routine that will give you a safe space to return to throughout your caregiving journey.
We are creating a series of short informative courses that you will be able to access on your own time. Each course will focus on one aspect/topic of the caregiving journey and provide a tool for calming and recentering in the midst of the often unpredictable adventures of caring for another. The series is designed so that each course is a complete unit and caregivers will be able to select topics relevant to their particular situation.
In addition, when we launch each course (we anticipate a new mini-course will be ready every 2-3 months), we will share it with a live question and answer session. This will give you a chance to:
- meet in a group via zoom,
- share problems and solutions,
- be supported by and support other caregivers.
That’s not all we’ve been up to in the last few months.
We have also created a free tip sheet 7 Super Simple Self-Care Solutions for you. It’s a free gift to all who sign-up for our email list but since you’re already signed up we wanted to make sure you got a copy!
We continue our commitment to supporting caregivers in all the different caring situations they find themselves in whether remote caring, in-person caring, coordinating care, or something else unique to your situation. Our experiences have taught us that the caring journey can be one of growth and transformation for the person being cared for and the carer. We are honored to share this journey with you.
If you’d like more information on any of these projects, just email info@caregiverscentral.net
If you have friends or relatives who are caring for others, please share https://caregiverscentral.net with them. Our goal continues to be to provide gentle support for people who are on caring journeys.
